Home sweet home x

Thanks to all of you that played along in our last challenge over at paper crafting journey - don't forget to check the main blog to see if you are one of our top 3 or the winner !

While you are there check out our new challenge to use diecuts and punches on your crafty creations, sponsored by stitchy bear stamps, and check out the other fantastic inspiration from the DT x

I have used 2 different nesties for a frame and also a Tim Holtz "on the edge" die for the border.
My Image is a clear stamp that's been in my drawer a while but never been used (before this card !) but I'm not sure which brand it is - sorry.
I have coloured my image with my Lyra aquacolor crayons which also haven't seen the light of day for a while !

The finished image looked a bit lack lustre so once the image was mounted in my "frame" I gave the whole thing a good coating with spray & shine which livened up the colours.

I hope you'll join in and play along with us at papercrafting journey - don't forget that you have 2 weeks to get a project made and posted on the blog.

Thanks for visiting today

Forest fun !

**Warning this is photo stuffed post with no cards in sight !!**

Today was hubby's birthday so and it was a beautiful warm and sunny autumn day so we set off for some fun in the forest !

Thought I'd share some of our adventures with you ...... waiting for blogger ............. yay at last !

As you can see we had lots of fun...

We found tree carvings

and crossed bridges

played on slides

and in dens

And we even made music on these wind cushions
- yes they were really called that ! Each "pillow"played a different note !

I hope you enjoyed looking at our snaps of today and that you had a good day wherever you were doing x

Just because I needed some girliness !!

Hello thanks for visiting today I hope you are well.

It has been a glorious autumn day here today, warm and sunny. It is also hubby's birthday so we enjoyed a family day in the forest - I will be blogging some pic's soon so pop back if you like.

Being out all day meant that my craft stash was left all alone and completely neglected so tonight I wanted to share with you a card that I made earlier in the week x

I have left this card without a sentiment which means that I can pop it into my card box and add the perfect sentiment (for pretty much any (girly) occasion) when I need it.

I used some new papers (Echo park - for the record) and lots of girly loveliness - hand stitching, a doily, flowers, pins, crinkle seam binding and yummy lace - just some of my fav things !!
It was actually very simple to put together although I always spend ages trying to get my blooms to look "just right" and never feel like I quite achieve it !

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Dutch dare card challenges - Fab sketch (love this sketch - hope it's ok that I flipped it x)
Colour create - Colour combo - lime, aqua and white + texture
Pals paper arts - Lace
The stamp man challenge - Perfect pears/pairs (2 pins, 2 DP's, 2 trims, 2 teal rose buds, 2 cream roses, 2 leaves !!!)
Wags n whiskers - Lace

Thanks for visiting me today - leave a comment so I know you came and I can visit you too !

Sowing design seeds.

The Jellypark friends have another fab Friday challenge lined up for you and you've got the next 2 weeks to get your crafty mojo working on it !

This week we want you to go over to the amazing Design seeds blog and choose one of the colour pallettes - don't worry there is literally hundreds to choose from.

We challenge you to use this colour pallette as inspiration for your crafty project.
Don't forget to show us which pallette you chose so we can drool over it along with your project.

Here is the colours I chose and I have used one of Claires brand new releases - Snowball girl - available here in the shop.

My image is coloured with my prisma's and the design papers, tag and dimensional stickers are all from the K & Co peppermint twist paper line which I have left over from last Christmas.

My scalloped border (or scoops as I call this one !) was made using a MS border punch and here is my *top tip* this week - don't be afraid to alter your punched border this punch is actually a deep edge punch and gives a double row of scoops so I just snipped some off with my little scissors this gives me another look from my punch.

Don't forget to hop over to the The jellypark friends Friday challenge blog to get more amazing inspiration from the rest of the DT and don't forget that if you use a jellypark image you get an extra entry into the draw x

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Simon says stamp
- Diecuts or punches (MS border punch)
Top tip Tuesday - For the kids (for top tip see above)
My mums craft shop challenges - Boys and girls
Ruby's rainbow - For the girls
Do you stack up - Duo (2 bows, 2 DP's & 2 snowflakes)
Some odd girl - Photo inspiration

Thanks for visiting me today - I hope you have some time to get crafty today x

I want to ride my bicycle .. I want to ride my bike

Lets get stampin' for the weekend - yes it's time for a brand new challenge !

This fortnight we want to see your cute creations. We have a fab sponsor for this challenge it's Wee stamps - I adore all their stamps and if you hop over to the challenge blog you will see that we have all used one of the wee stamps images. Oh they are soooooo pretty - just perfect for our "what a cutie" challenge.

The DP's I have used are from a prima paper stack - Madeline - and my lovely mum let me borrow her new spellbinders border die - I love it !
I went for a simple layout as the papers and the image are def' the stars here then just added a satin ribbon & bow with a paper rose highlighted with some stickles.

My image is coloured with my Prisma's and highlighted with lots more stickles. I tried to add some shadow and depth around the image with my prismas and it is my 1st time trying this - not too sure if I like it or if I did it quite right !

Don't forget to visit the Stampin' for the weekend challenge blog for loads more fabulous creations from the DT and all the details of the challenge x

Thanks for visiting me today leave me a comment so I can pop over and see what you have been up to x

Flutterby butterfly

This weeks challenge over at easy craft projects is to use 6 - yes 6 patterened papers.

I was a little scared when I heard this as I usually use 2 or 3 tops on my cards and sometimes none at all but when I actually sat and thought about it I had loads of ideas.

What I love most about this card is that it uses some of my scraps and since my scraps drawer is bulging I think I'll make some more ! It was super simple to make and I love the girly prettiness of it.

Don't forget to hop over to the easy craft projects challenge blog for more inspiration from the rest of the DT and to get all the details then get crafty !

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Simon says stamp
- Inspired by a song title (Butterfly - Corinne Bailey-Rae)

Papertake weekly challenge - Things with wings
Totally papercrafts - Clean & simple
Alphabet challenge blog - Q is for quick
Less is more - Anything CAS goes (will they reach 1000 ?)

Thanks for visiting me today x

Hidden messages

This weeks challenge over at paper crafting journey is a real fun one and I do hope you'll join in.
This week Lisa has set you the challenge of creating a hidden message card - we want to see a message hidden somewhere on your card - it could be on a pull out tag or a message in a little pocket - the options are endless.

Here is my hidden message and I don't mind telling you that I am quite proud of my card esp' as it was my first try at a kinetic card.

I even decorated the inside too !

If you've never tried one and want to have a go I would recommend Beate's fabulous tutorial over at splitcoast stampers which is what I used. I am a visual learner and find it much easier to watch a video tutorial than read a list of instructions but on splitcoast they have both so either way you are covered !

So if you've never seen one of these cards in action let me tell you what happens ! When you pull out the top insert the bottom one magically pushes out too !

I made my card, with this fantastic stamping boutique image, into a get well soon card since we are coming up to the season when I will be wanting a few of these here in the UK !

Our sponsor, The stamping boutique, is offering the winner of this challenge 5 digi images so what are you waiting for ?

Don't forget to hop over to the paper crafting journey challenge blog for more inspiration from the DT and all the details - I just can't wait to see all your super entries x

Card details
Papers - Echo park - happy days
Cardstock - Bazzil
Stamps - Stamping boutique - pocket full of sunshine/Do crafts - Sunshine kisses/Inkadinkadoo - butterfly/Kanban - get well soon

I would like to my card to the following challenges;

Paper sundaes
- Decorate the inside
Challenge up your life - Paper piecing (pocket)
Scrapping cottage challenge - Motion card
Flutterby Wednesdays - Anything goes (with a butterfly !)
Papertake weekly challenge - Things with wings

Autumn roses

When I saw this weeks sketch over at unscripted sketches on Saturday I just knew exactly what I wanted to do.I ADORE these Cosmo cricket papers and love the chance to use them - especially so sparingly as it means that I can get more crafty projects out of them !!

Being a perfectionist I am not especially happy with my roses as they are hand cut and rolled and all slighty different sizes ! I have added the rolled flower dies to my wish list so roll on Christmas !!

I would also like to add my card to the following challenges;

Clearly iStamp
- Patterned papers
Craft your days away - Make your own flowers
Crazy 4 challenges - Colour combo
Crafty pad - Autumnal colours
Critter challenge blog - Photo inspiration
Come and get it challenges - Colour combo

Thanks so much for visiting me today - leave a comment so I can hop over to your blog and see what you have been up to x

Layered lovely !

I always look at the sketch and the DT creations over at CLP sketch challenge and drool over the amazing creations but this is the first time I am having a go myself.
I wanted a sketch worthy of this gorgeous new stamp to make a card for one of my best friends birthdays as she turns 40 next week !

The super sweet image is a rubber stamp from the greeting farm and I coloured it with my prisma pencils and added some stickles and pearly stuff I also added a little dot of glossy accents to the dog's nose to make it look wet ! (if you click the pic you'll see it !)

My papers are from the basic grey porcelain paper pad - so beautiful that they have been saved for a special card !
I added a doily which I inked with pink and peach brilliance ink pads so it has a lovely sheen - I also added this to one of my flowers and my lace to make it match perfectly.

The bling swirls are off cuts laying about on my craft mat - I never run a swirl under anything - I always chop it and use the bits on another project !

I am well aware that it isn't a patch on the DT projetcs or some of the other entrants over at CLP but I am quite pleased with it myself especially since it is a new style for me.

I would also like to add my card to the following challenges;

Charisma cardz challenge
- Inspired by a song - Pretty in pink by The Psychedelic Furs (OMG I watched that film sooooo many times as a teenager !!!)
Delightful challenges - Bling it
Do you stack up ? - Texture
Some odd girl - Add some stitching (mine is faux !)
My mums craft shop - Lots of layers
Bearly mine challenges - Flowers, flowers, flowers
My time to craft challenges - Just between friends

Fly me to the moon !

Yay it's time for a Jellypark friends Friday challenge - I love it when they come around as I get to play with and show you some of Claires fabulous images alongside the rest of the fantastically talented and super lovely DT (you can prob' tell how much I love being on this team !!)

Anywho enough gushing let's get on with it !

The brand new challenge for you this week is called "pass it on" - we want you to make a card and make sure you actually give it to someone - no stashing those cards this time !

I made a card for my son's best buddy who will be 6 soon - this rocket image (space rocket available in the shop here) is just so flipping cute - I know he'll love it.

I made an easel card using DP's from the MME lime twist - Out of the blue pad I just love this paper line for little boys.

I added some letter stickers from the depths of my sticker folder and although they were the wrong colour (they were aqua !) I coloured them with my promarkers to match my project perfectly - I do this with all sorts of craft stash from ribbon & flowers to brads and gems and if I can't find the right colour card to mat my layers onto I use my markers to make them co-ordinate with my image perfectly - so that is my top tip for today !!

The stars are also from the sticker folder they were originally a border sticker and I just chopped it up and added a little glitter for some bling.

Don't forget to hop over to the Jellypark friends Friday challenge blog to see some more inspiration from the team and get all the details.

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Sketch time !

**I am sooooo sorry for the wonky picture - not quite sure what happened here !!**

Well I am a little (or a lot) late posting this but today the new challenge at Paper crafting journey is set and this week we have a sketch prepared just for you by our very own Jacki.

Here it is

I have used an image from the stamping boutique, who is the sponsor for this fortnights challenge, and coloured it with my trusty promarkers. I've also added masses of glitter for a bit of sparkle !

As you can see I have used a bit of artistic license with the sketch but that for me is the beauty of a sketch challenge. I like to start at the sketch and then go where it takes me !
So, of course, you can flip it or rotate it add your own style to it just as long as we can see the main aspects of the sketch it's ok with us x

Can't wait to see what you will create this time - happy crafting x

I would also like to add my card to the following challenges;

My mum's craft shop challenges
- 1, 2, 3 (1 DP, 2 Die cuts & 3 loop bow !)
Passion for promarkers - Anything goes

Thanks for visiting today - leave a comment so I can come visit you too x
