Snowman blues (and greens !)
Good morning to you - the sun is shining here (at last) so the washing machine is going full pelt and I just have time to post a card that I made last night and tell you about the gorgeous candy up for grabs at Cupcake at the moment.
Look at this lovely little lot ! To be in with a chance all you have to do is be or become a follower at Cupcake craft challenges, post the candy on your blog and enter a challenge - simples !
I wanted to enter this weeks challenge, which is to make a project using blue and green, using this gorgeous backing paper from my new pink petticoat fairy lights kits (a huge kit which is on sale at the mo).
I felt that this paper was crying out for a snowman so I went on the hunt for a cute digi stamp and found this little gem at designed 2 delight digital stamps - he was a joy to colour - don't you think he is a handsome chap ?!
I coloured him using my copics. I have a very limited range of copics (10 actually) and this is only the second image I have used them on.
So with such a limited colour range I had to resort to using my forgotten peel off pens (I haven't used a peel-off for years!) on his scarf, nose and holly sprig.
I coloured his heart in pink but I didn't like it so I paper peiced over it with another paper from the fairy lights kit which I reduced in size in works word processor to make the pattern tiny - perfect for my snowmans heart.
I'm so glad I made this mistake - as I love the paper peiced element the most !
After I cropped him with my nesties and chalked the background I layered up my card with my patterned paper, some glitter card, which I punched with my Martha Stewart border and corner punches, and added a bow with a snowflake and glitter brad and a sentiment (HOTP).
I also added some stickles to my image for some added sparkle.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Blue & green
Simon Says Stamp - Paper peicing
One Stitch At A Time - Say it with shapes
The Crazy Challenge - Never too early for christmas cards
Creative Card Crew - Sparkle and shine
I hope you like it - have a great weekend x

Christmas spirit !
Hello hope you are well. I am looking forward to a bank holiday weekend with some sunshine (I know my chances are slim but you have to think positive don't you !?) after the soaking we've had in the UK this week. I also must get some washing done (yawn!)
Well after making a christmas card for this weeks Creative cottage challenge blog I seem to have got into the christmas spirit (a bit early I know !) and when I saw the kits on sale at the pink petticoat site I just couldn't resist them and bought two !
These papers, including the solid red background, are from the Fairy lights kit and it took me ages to choose them as this is a huge kit with masses of papers and images. The paper peiced tree and sentiment is also from the kit.
All I really done was cut, arranged and distressed my papers with some ink before sticking them down and adding loads of glossy accents.
My lace was coloured with stazon to make it black and mounted onto a scrap of the solid crimson card to co-ordinate perfectly.
Voila these digi kits make life super easy as all the co-ordinating is done for you which is great for times like christmas when you make loads of cards x
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges ;
The Crazy Challenge - Never too early for Christmas
Creative Inspirations Challenge - Christmas in August
Digi Doodle Shops Best - So distressing !
For Fun Challenges - Include ribbon or lace
Simon Says Challenge - Paper peicing
City Crafter Challenge - Include stars/star
Thanks for looking have a great weekend x

Clean & Simple
Good morning, I hope you are well.
The sun is shining here and I am so happy to feel it's warmth once again - I've had to put my jeans on again this week which, in my book, is just not on in "summer" !
Yesterday I had a beautifully peaceful day as my lovely hubby took the boys out and I had a glorious day all to myself !
Of course with a day to myself what else was there to do but craft all day !
So I spent the day catching up with some DT cards which I'll post in due time and and still had some time to make a card for my good friend Julie - who moved to California last March - to let her know how much I miss her x
I have been wanting to use this colour combo for a while and I felt the best way to show it off was with a clean and simple card.
My image is a digi from Pink petticoat and the sentiment was made on the computer using word.
I coloured my gems with my copics to match perfectly and added some ribbon to tie it all up !
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;
My Sheri Crafts - Miss you
Craft Your Passion Challenges - Anything goes
Paper Cutz Challenge - Anything goes
Stamp Something - Digi day
Hope you like it x

Thanks butterflies !
Hello today I would like to show you a card I made for my son to give to his nursery teachers on his last day.
His nursery is called Butterflies so I knew I had to add lots of them ! and then while walking thru town I was inspired by a shop window which had lots of teacups all lined up in a grid pattern.
I was further inspired by this weeks inspiration photo over at the shabby tearoom a gorgeous rosy explosion ! I used the photo as colour inspiration for my already budding idea !
So first I gave my card base (made with Bazzill textured card) a quilted effect by embossing it using my martha stewart scoreboard - I am really glad with the effect - I'll def do this again.
I added a spot of liquid pearls to the "quilting" to highlight the effect.
My butterflies were punched out of scraps of My minds eye quite contrary papers (a freebie from a mag) with a martha stewart punch and secured onto white textured card with a spot of pva glue then added a flatbacked pearl to each. I then stamped the "Thanks so much" stamp (HOTP), with pink ink, in amoungst the beauties.
I mounted this panel onto pink card and then onto somemore paper from the same my minds eye paper pack.
Simple - took ages but I really enjoyed the process x
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The Shabby Tearoom - Inspiration photo
One Stitch At A Time - Pack a punch
A Crafty Little Place - Colour Challenge - Blue, pink and green

Creative cottage challenge # 21 - Christmas
Good morning to you, thanks for stopping by x
Today is Creative cottage challenge # 21 and this week the lovely Linda chose our challenge which is Christmas.
I must thank her too as I am terrible at starting my christmas cards early, usually starting them in late november !! So the fact that I have at least one done is a start !
This week I played with the fantastic Robbie and Roxanne kit from Creative cottage and I loved it - it's a stunning kit with papers and images too - I mean look at those adorable robins.
So both my papers and my image are from the kit and all I added was some glitter card to mat the image, some red felt ribbon, and some dew drops. O and of course plenty of glitter - christmas wouldn't be christmas without the glitter !!
The snowflakes were cut with a sizzix die and my bigshot with the same glitter card as my mat.
I hope you like my card and you come on over to the Creative cottage challenge blog and join in there is, as always, a fab prize up for grabs x
I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sir Stampalot - Bling
Crafty Pad - Glitz & glitter
A Spoonful Of Sugar - Christmas in August
Thanks for looking, I hope you will come and join in the fun with us at the creative cottage challenge blog x

Happy Birthday Mum
I made this card for my mum's birthday using a digi stamp from the fab sketching stamper.
I just fell in love with these bluebells when I saw them and they were a dream to colour as the shading is sketched on so it takes all the guess work out of colouring up the image.
I had just purchased these beautiful papers from pink petticoat and, I thought, they just worked perfectly with the image.
The image is coloured with watercolour pencils and I cropped the image then chalked the background.
I didn't do much else just layered up some papers and added some pearls and pearl sprays (which I love by the way).
I hope you like it - I did so enjoy making it - by the time I gave it to my mum it had little lots of little boy finger prints and some juice spots on it too!
I would also like to enter this card into the following
challenges :
Crafty Cardmakers - Birthday (happy 1st birthday Crafty cardmakers x)
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - Summertime blues !
Craft Your Days Away - 1st challenge (congrats) Favorite things (pearl sprays and gorg digi stamp)

Cooking it up with Katie challenge # 24
Hello to you all this morning - I hope you are all well.
This morning I would like to show you my DT card for the Cooking it up with Katie challenge which this week is to use flowers, pink and squares.
We were treated this week to our choice of digi stamp from the fantastic Digi Doodles shop, and my o my what a huge choice of digi stamps she has to choose from.
My favorite was this gorgeous wedding cake and it was a absolute joy to play with. I printed it onto coredinations white washed card and coloured it with a combination of watercolour pencils and my spica glitter pens.
I wanted to create a quilt like effect with my patterned papers so I chopped them up and stitched them back together - I like the effect - worth the effort I think.
All that was left to do was create my bows - one with lace and one with gorsgrain ribbon and then I added a flower from Wild orchid crafts, which I glittered with some pink stickles.
I am having a little mojo meltdown at the moment but I am quite pleased with this little creation - I hope you like it too x
Why not hop on over to the Cooking it up with Katie challenge blog where you will be able to look at all the inspiration from the other DT sisters - you will NOT be disapointed.
Thanks for looking x
I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Lace
Creative Card Crew - Cute and girly
The ABC Challenge - August (wedding month around here !)
Digi Doodle Challenge Blog - Use your fav stamp

Creative cottage challenge # 20 Donna's pick
Good morning to you all and I hope you are all well today.
My mojo seems to have taken a slump recently and left me feeling kind of flat I have also been trying to enjoy the summer with the boys which is leaving me totally shattered at the end of the day !
Having said that I just couldn't miss a creative cottage challenge (although I almost did - sorry Tracy x) so here is DT card for challenge #20.
Our challenge this week was set by the lovely Donna who pushed us all out of our comfort zone and picked acetate - I def struggled with this one and having a mojo rating of zero certainly didn't help but I tried my best and hope it doesn't disappoint y'all.
I have used Tracy's fab kit called "Baby Ellie and family" and also the baby Ellie digi stamp which I have printed onto acetate and glittered from the back - she really looks gorg and I think I will def do this with her again on another card.
The front of my card is made entirely of acetate and I embossed half of the front with my trusty swiss dots folder and my bigshot - you can't really see this in the picture but it does give a nice dimpled effect to the acetate.
The back ground of my card is a paper from the kit printed onto a hammered white card - I love this paper it's one of my fav's.
All that was left to do was add a bow and a sentiment - voila card done - quite simple really but I hope you like it x
