Purple patch

Hello I hope you are all well x
I am here today to share tell you about the new challenge over at colour create.

This week Julie chose our new colour combo of deep purple, green and white/cream with the optional extra of adding bows. Here is the beautiful picture she gave us for inspiration

I didn't realise how little I have in the way of purple's in my paper range so I went for another CAS card with a strip of DP with the colours on and using ink's and cardstock to incorporate them further.
The flowers & leaves were stamped with my Ippity now & always stamps and cut out and layered up with foam pads.

Don't forget to hop over to the colour create challenge blog to check out all the other amazing DT projects and all the details for the challenge.

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Stamps & Fun = creativity - Make your own flowers (M)
Creative belli challenge blog - Use 3 shapes (my old stash is the pretty button) (W)
Craftroom challenge - Bling & glitter (pearl pins and glitter) (T)
Shopping our stash - Cirlcles or dots (old stash is the button, seam binding and strip of DP from scrap drawer) (T)

Girly glitter

We have another gorgeous colour combo to challenge you over at colour create.

This week the lovely Sharon has chosen pink, blue & sage with white or cream and the optional extra of using something ripped or torn.

I have used a gorgeous day for daisies digital image coloured with my trusty Pro-markers and highlighted with my spica glitter pens.
The DP's are from a new paper pad called my private happiness from The scrapcake - I fell in love with these and couldn't find a stockist in the UK so ended up ordering them from Poland !

I spent ages thinking about the "ripped or torn " element of my card and had actually stamped and torn a sentiment for my card and then I had one of those nights when loads of crafty inspirations came to me while I slept and ended up producing these pretty little torn flowers.
I have to admit to being quite pleased with them - think I will make more of these soon - you might even see a little tutorial !

As you can see on the picture there is alot of sparkle on my card - yes I was covered head to toe ! Thank goodness for my glitter clean-up cloth (thanks for the tip Joanna Sheen) check it out here ! This time I chose diamond sparkles butterfly trails for my glitter - just love the twinkle it gives.

I hope you will play along with us at colour create this fortnight - don't forget to hop over to the challenge blog and check out all the amazing DT creations and get all the details I have forgotten to tell you x

Pastel parade

It's time for a new challenge over at Paper crafting journey and this fortnight we want to see those pretty pastels !

We are sponsored by Kenny K this fortnight who are offering the winner some goodies - hop on over to the paper crafting journey challenge blog for all the details and also to check out the rest of the fab DT projects x

For my card I have used a LOTV stamp that I got for my birthday in February and it still hadn't seen ink ! I stamped it with staz on and coloured with my prisma's and sansodor then added some stickles for a bit of glitz !

My DP's are from the MME Hoody doody paper pad (yes again !!). I used several
die's & punches - spellbinders scalloped rectangle and decorative photo corners and also my MS daisy fan deep edge punch.
I have also used two different ribbons a chiffon wrapped from top to bottom and a beautiful peach colour grosgrain (although it looks orange in the pic') and a pretty carnation to top it off.

Hope you will join in and play along with us at paper crafting journey this fortnight.

Mum's the word !

This week over at My mums craft shop challenges our challenge for you is to show us your cards and projects to celebrate your mum or a special lady in your life :)

We are sponsored by the fabulous Day for daisies and I have used their gorgeous "A special flower" digital image on my card isn't she pretty ?!

I coloured her with my Pro-markers and highlighted her with my spica glitter pens then mounted her on a gorgeous spellbinders fleur de lis die cut which I cut out of engraving art board - do you remember those scratch art pictures you used to have as a kid ? Well you can buy the plain sheets which run perfectly through the big shot and create great embellishments and die cuts just rough it up after you run it through to reveal the metal underneath.

I used papers from the Authentique Uncommon paper pad and just a few pearls, a little tag and a ribbon so that the gorgeous image and frame remained the star of the show !

I hope you'll join in and play along with us this week at MMCS x

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

But there are so many beautiful spring paper pads in the shop now that I do feel a little spring in my step !

This week we are sponsored by the fantastic paper shelter

I have used a gorgeous digi stamp from the paper shelter called let's make a picnic. This little beauty reminds me of one of my childhood toys - strawberry shortcake ? Anyone else remember her ?! I think it's those cute freckles !

I coloured her with my pro-markers and used papers from the scrummy MME Miss Caroline Howdy doody paper pad and those gorgeous flowers are made with the gorgeous MFT prima donna petals die.

Pretty pearls

Today over at colour create we were treated to another fantastic colour combination. This week it is the turn of Mina who chose the yummy combo of yellow, grey, black & white with the added, optional, extra of flowers. Here is her inspiration picture to fire you up......

This month we have a lovely prize very kindly donated by Korthobby check out all the details on the colour create challenge blog.

I was excited when I saw Mina's choice as I had just received the perfect paper pad for my birthday and now had the excuse to have a play with it !

So I used papers from my new Authentique Blissful paper pad and that beautiful laser cut butterfly panel is actually a cupcake wrapper that I slipped into my bag after eating the delicious treat inside (Man O man do I love cake ?!) Well how could I throw away something so pretty - I just knew I would find the perfect use for it !!

The wrapper was inked up with yellow and silver brilliance ink (it has a lovely sheen IRL) and tipped gently with black. I also used the silver brilliance to edge the DP's, the flower and to shadow stamp my sentiment too.

The lovely pearls are clipped from a ZVA pearl oval frame - these came up the perfect shape and size :)

I hope you will play along with us this fortnight - hop on over to the colour create challenge blog and check out all the stunning DT projects the girls have really rocked these colours.

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

The crafty pad - Recycle it (my cupcake wrapper was just too pretty to trash !) (SU)
