Swing by for more jelly !!

Yay - it's time for our 2nd challenge at Jellypark friends Friday challenges.

We were thrilled with the amount of fantastic entries we had on our very first challenge and super pleased that many of you enjoyed Claires freebie snowman and got double entry into the challenge.

So this week we have a super photo inspiration for you

You can take whatever inspiration you like from the photo - which gives you loads of scope.

I've used one of Claires new releases, Grandad - available here at the shop, and wanted to surprise you all by making a masculine card instead a girly one which is what the inspiration first suggests.

I wanted to show you how the inspiration could easily be interpreted for a masculine image.
So the inspiration that I took from the photo is the rope swing {twine}, the gingham {DP} and the colours red and green {colour accents}.

My DP's are from forever friends paper packs just for him and hugs & cuddles and my image is coloured with my prismacolor pencils for a soft feel. The ribbon is from the packaging of a pair of pyjama's I got for Christmas last year - I knew I'd find the perfect project for it !!

I hope you like it : )

I do hope you'll all play along again at Jellypark Friends we love visting your blogs and seeing all your projects.
Don't forget to visit all the other DT girlies and leave them some love they've all done an amazing job to try and inspire you again this week x

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Your next stamp challenge - 3 embellies (ribbon/twin/button) ,2 patterned papers, 1 image
Everybody art challenge - Garden
Paper pretties - No markers
Truly scrumptious - Buttons & bows

Paws .......... it's time for a new challenge !

Good morning blogging buddies - thanks for popping in today x

Today is the start of a brand spanking new challenge over at stampin' for the weekend.

We had loads of fantastic entries for our last, things with wings, challenge and I hope you'll all join in again this week for our "paws for thought" challenge.

Yes we want to see your creations including things with paws - cats, dogs, bunnies, bears - the choice of paws is yours !!

I used a digi image from Pachela studios available here at cuddly buddly crafts and coloured him with a mixture of copics, promarkers and spica glitter pens.
The DP's are from the My minds eye lime twist out of the blue paper pad and the chipboard embellies are pebbles chips {heart these !}.

I haven't added a birthday sentiment on the outside but there is one inside and I will add a number chipboard onto the large star when I know who it's for ! I try and keep a stash of kids cards handy so when the boys get invited to parties I don't have to rush a card or worse go and buy a card !!

I really like the colours on this card and am pleased with the end result of the simple layered layout x

Thanks for visiting me today I do hope you'll play along again this week at stampin' for the weekend x

Butterfly kisses

Well it has been a dull, grey day here but the sun did appear for about 10 minutes so I grabed my camera a got a photo of a card I whipped up at the weekend.

Last week I ordered some birthday goodies for my mum from Joanna sheen's website while I was there I saw this gorgeous Magenta stamp and just couldn't resist it {naughty me !}

I wanted to make a CAS card so the stamp, with those gorgeous butterflies would remain the star !
I stamped it with black Stazon and gave it a spritz with my purple violet cosmic shimmer mist then added the ribbon and over stamped that with the frame and sentiment (both from sizzix) again in Stazon.

Well that is it ! Told you it was clean and SIMPLE - but hey sometimes less is more !

I would like to add this card to the following challenges;

Scrapbook sisters - Thank you
C.R.A.F.T. Challenges - Butterflies
By the cute and girly - Things with wings

Nothing ventured ..... nothing gained !

**Sorry about the awful photo click for a better view**

I have been amazed by the one layer cards that I have seen around blogland recently - I love the clean and simple style but I have as yet been totally terrified to leave my DP's untouched and let my design do the "talking" !

Tonight I decided that nothing ventured nothing gained and set to rummaging through my stamps to find the perfect image.
I decided on this leaf image (positive and negative) from my ippity "should be" set and this gorgeous blue/green colour (mountain lake - versacolor) which I am loving at the moment.

I diecut one of my labels nesties and used it as a mask before stamping my images and sentiment but I felt it needed something else and couldn't add the buttons/ribbon etc etc that I normally would (only one layer allowed) so I added some paper piercing to the top left corner.

I am quite pleased with it - for a first attempt ! What do you think ?

I would like to add this card to the following challenges;

Crafty Cardmakers - One layer card
Spotlight challenge - Masking
Cupcake craft challenge - Pick your fav' challenge (# 26 one layer card)
Sentimental Sundays - Inky fingers

Thanks for visiting me today, I hope you liked what you saw x

Enjoy summer

Happy Saturday !!

It's sunny and warm here and my kids have been super good today playing nicely together and everyone is happy - so I hope you are all having a happy Saturday too !

Hubby took the kids out for a couple of hours earlier which meant that I could stay in my pj's and craft which is my fav thing to do in the whole world !!

And I must say that colouring this little cutie, from Jellypark, made my morning even brighter - how cute is she ?
You can find her here, at The Jellypark store, along with loads of other cute digi stamps and more beyond.

And after winning at the races on Thursday I treated myself to a couple of 6 x 6 paper pads and these yummy juicy DP's are from the echo park "summer days" pad.

When I saw this image I knew I wanted to use bright colours and make a fun card. I coloured the image with Promarkers and added glitter to her wings and body to give her a bit more texture.

I hand cut those clouds, out of textured bazzil card, and doodled on them to add to the fun, childish feel to the card. And added lots of gems to the flower border for some bling !

I would also like to add this card to the following challenges;

Truly scrumptious - Things with wings
Clear it out challenge - Wings
Digital Tuesday challenge - Bling it up
Jac-inks Challenges - Die cuts plus texture
Southern girls challenge - Childhood memories
Stamp something - Bugs & butterflies

Thanks for visiting me today - I hope you saw something you liked x

Ahoy !

Yes it's me again with my 3rd post of the day !!

This time I want to tell you about the new challenge over at Easy craft projects.
We have a recipe for you this week
use some paint
2 ribbons
and a button

For my card I used watercolour paints and H2O's to paint my image. The stamps are from a woodware set I've had for years in fact I think it was one of the first stamp sets I ever bought.

I topped the waves with some stickles to look like the crested waves with seafoam and I chalked the background for some soft clouds.

I couldn't use just one button they just looked soooo much better stacked !

I would like to add this card to the following challenges;

Ai factory challenge - Use 2 of something {buttons, ribbons, boats}
Samuel Taylors Crafts - Summer theme
Papertake weekly challenge - Anything goes with buttons
Card makin mamas - Summertime

Thanks for visiting and I do hope you'll join in with us at easy craft projects this week x

The DT has excelled themselves again this week with some amazing inspiration for you so please browse around their blogs and leave them some love x

Another challenge means another great sponsor and this week it's Simon says stamp who is offering the winner 20 dollars to spend instore !!

The glittered stripey DP on my card is from DCWV and I'm not too sure about the cloud paper as it was a scrap from my scrap drawer. The stamp is from LOTV - I have been longing for some LOTV stamps and then this month in my craft magazine the freebie was some printed LOTV images. This is one of them. Some exciting news !!

I am so very excited as today I get to share my news with you - I have nearly exploded trying to keep it to myself ALL week !!

I have been given a DT place on the new Jellypark design team!!!

I really am thrilled as I love Claires gorgeous designs. So today, which is also the grand opening of the Jellypark store, I thought I'd share a card which I made with the super cute Knight digi stamp.

I don't know about you but I find it more difficult to find cute images for my boys cards than the girly ones and when I saw this image I knew it was perfect for my son, Issac's, birthday.

Here is why .......................
During the last school holiday we vistiteed a local castle and he got the chance to dress up as a knight ! Ever since he has been jumping around the house brandishing a sword to protect his fair maiden (me !).

As I mentioned today is the re-opening of the new Jellypark store so pop on over and check out more of Claires images and don't forget to visit us on the challenge blog where the challenges begin on Friday the 15th July with some brand spanking new images !

I would also like to add my card to the following challenges;
