Sketch time !

Hello again I m back to tell you about the new challenge over at Easy craft projects.

This week we have a sketch for you to follow - don't feel you have to make a scrapbook layout with it please adapt it to suit any type of craft project we love to see you mix it up and show us something different - just make sure that we can still see the main elements of the sketch on your projects.

I made a card with some MME papers and love elsie alpha stamps - I am just lovin this teal colour ink at the moment and I'm constantly surprised that it looks just as good with red, yellow, brown or pink - hey this is the colour that just keeps on giving !

I used my corner rounding punch to add some interest to my square alpha bases and I'm glad I did it changed my cube shape to more of a flower shape and I like that !

I do hope you'll join in with us again this fortnight we were thrilled that so many of you played along in the last challenge - hop over to the Easy craft projects blog for more inspiration from the fantastic DT and all the details of what you could win this time around x

Thanks for visiting today x

Going dotty for spotty

Yay it's time for another challenge over at stampin' for the weekend. This week we want to see you going dotty for spots !

Our sponsor this week is the fab simon says stamp who is offering the winner $20 to spend in store !!

I have been trying to use up some bits and peices from my scraps drawer which is why this layout was perfect !

My stamp is a Kanban clear stamp and I inked it up with black inkand stamped it onto scrap paper lightly then inked it over with sepia - which gave a slightly darker brown line.
I love these papers but I'm not too sure which set they are from - sorry. The sentiment is also from the same kanban stamp set.

I hope you'll play along with us again this week - we are contantly astounded by the amount of AMAZING entries we get each time we post a new challenge and I am always so very inspired by all of you - so thanks x

Hop over to the stampin' for the weekend blog to check out the rest of the DT's incredible cards and the rest of the details x

Thanks for visiting today x

Swing by for more jelly !!

Yay - it's time for our 2nd challenge at Jellypark friends Friday challenges.

We were thrilled with the amount of fantastic entries we had on our very first challenge and super pleased that many of you enjoyed Claires freebie snowman and got double entry into the challenge.

So this week we have a super photo inspiration for you

You can take whatever inspiration you like from the photo - which gives you loads of scope.

I've used one of Claires new releases, Grandad - available here at the shop, and wanted to surprise you all by making a masculine card instead a girly one which is what the inspiration first suggests.

I wanted to show you how the inspiration could easily be interpreted for a masculine image.
So the inspiration that I took from the photo is the rope swing {twine}, the gingham {DP} and the colours red and green {colour accents}.

My DP's are from forever friends paper packs just for him and hugs & cuddles and my image is coloured with my prismacolor pencils for a soft feel. The ribbon is from the packaging of a pair of pyjama's I got for Christmas last year - I knew I'd find the perfect project for it !!

I hope you like it : )

I do hope you'll all play along again at Jellypark Friends we love visting your blogs and seeing all your projects.
Don't forget to visit all the other DT girlies and leave them some love they've all done an amazing job to try and inspire you again this week x

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Paws .......... it's time for a new challenge !

Good morning blogging buddies - thanks for popping in today x

Today is the start of a brand spanking new challenge over at stampin' for the weekend.

We had loads of fantastic entries for our last, things with wings, challenge and I hope you'll all join in again this week for our "paws for thought" challenge.

Yes we want to see your creations including things with paws - cats, dogs, bunnies, bears - the choice of paws is yours !!

I used a digi image from Pachela studios available here at cuddly buddly crafts and coloured him with a mixture of copics, promarkers and spica glitter pens.
The DP's are from the My minds eye lime twist out of the blue paper pad and the chipboard embellies are pebbles chips {heart these !}.

I haven't added a birthday sentiment on the outside but there is one inside and I will add a number chipboard onto the large star when I know who it's for ! I try and keep a stash of kids cards handy so when the boys get invited to parties I don't have to rush a card or worse go and buy a card !!

I really like the colours on this card and am pleased with the end result of the simple layered layout x

Thanks for visiting me today I do hope you'll play along again this week at stampin' for the weekend x

Butterfly kisses

Well it has been a dull, grey day here but the sun did appear for about 10 minutes so I grabed my camera a got a photo of a card I whipped up at the weekend.

Last week I ordered some birthday goodies for my mum from Joanna sheen's website while I was there I saw this gorgeous Magenta stamp and just couldn't resist it {naughty me !}

I wanted to make a CAS card so the stamp, with those gorgeous butterflies would remain the star !
I stamped it with black Stazon and gave it a spritz with my purple violet cosmic shimmer mist then added the ribbon and over stamped that with the frame and sentiment (both from sizzix) again in Stazon.

Well that is it ! Told you it was clean and SIMPLE - but hey sometimes less is more !

I would like to add this card to the following challenges;

Scrapbook sisters - Thank you
C.R.A.F.T. Challenges - Butterflies
By the cute and girly - Things with wings
Incy wincy designs - Black & white plus one other (purple)
Paper play challenges - Things with wings

Thanks for visiting x

Nothing ventured ..... nothing gained !

**Sorry about the awful photo click for a better view**

I have been amazed by the one layer cards that I have seen around blogland recently - I love the clean and simple style but I have as yet been totally terrified to leave my DP's untouched and let my design do the "talking" !

Tonight I decided that nothing ventured nothing gained and set to rummaging through my stamps to find the perfect image.
I decided on this leaf image (positive and negative) from my ippity "should be" set and this gorgeous blue/green colour (mountain lake - versacolor) which I am loving at the moment.

I diecut one of my labels nesties and used it as a mask before stamping my images and sentiment but I felt it needed something else and couldn't add the buttons/ribbon etc etc that I normally would (only one layer allowed) so I added some paper piercing to the top left corner.

I am quite pleased with it - for a first attempt ! What do you think ?

I would like to add this card to the following challenges;

Crafty Cardmakers - One layer card
Spotlight challenge - Masking
Cupcake craft challenge - Pick your fav' challenge (# 26 one layer card)
Sentimental Sundays - Inky fingers

Thanks for visiting me today, I hope you liked what you saw x
