Girly goodness !

It is time for another colour combo over at colour create and this one is a yummy girly one !

The beautiful Kerry has chosen pink, kraft and white with the optional extra of masking for her very last colour combo challenge as part of our DT - Kerry we will miss you and your wonderful creations :)

I LOVE this colour combo and went all out girly for my card ! I used the lovely sketch over at waltzing mouse sketch challenge as inspiration (I always drool over the cards on the site and decided it was time to join in with them !) *EDIT can't play along as I don't have any WMS products :( *

I layered up bazzill card with Kraft card and cream mount board to create lots of dimension on the base then added more with my picot edge die cut circle. The picot edge circle was cut from mount board (I had to run my scissors around the edge to get it out as it was too thick to cut it right out) then I popped the smaller picot edge circle on top (face down) and ran it through my big shot again to give me the impression in the centre (well nearly the centre !) I inked around and through the nestie with pink distress ink (not too sure if I can actually call this masking or not !)

The punched border down the centre of the card is MS Infinite loops deep edge punch and the embossed image and frame are both SU (Loving these - aren't they cute ?) my sentiment is also embossed in white.

A satin bow with a button/gem combo and some blooms finish my card off nicely.

Don't forget to hop over to the Colour create challenge blog to see all the amazing DT creations and get all the details of the challenge and please leave our Kerry some love on her last challenge too x

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Catered crop - Use kraft (my 2nd entry hope that's ok x) (SU)
Stamptacular Sunday challenge - Loaded with layers (SU)
Crafts and me challenge - Embossing (W)

Vintage ?!

It's time for another challenge over at paper crafting journey and this fortnight we would like to see your vintage creations.

This week we are sponsored by Elizabeth Bell who treated each of the the DT to an image to use. This is my very first Elizabeth Bell digi and I am hooked - yes I want more !! You can check out all the fabulous digi's at the store here.

Firstly let me tell you that I struggle with "vintage" - I love it but it is just not my own style and so it does not come naturally to me !
While I am very happy with my card I cannot tell you if it is "vintage" or not ! How so ever it is my take on vintage so that will have to do !

I coloured that beautiful image with my prisma's and die cut it with my circle nestie and layered it onto a picot edge circle (also spellbinders).

My DP's are from my Kaisercraft sweet nothings paper pad - and I done a little bit of hand stitching on the scalloped border to add a little more detail. The layers are wrapped with chiffon ribbon and embroidery thread and tied with a bow - I love the subtlety of chiffon ribbon especially paired with the silky sheen of the embroidery thread. I topped the bow with a button/gem combo.

That beautiful flower is from a Websters pages kit and I just added a little bit if ink so it looked more worn or vintage ! Then added some of my favorite Zva pearl swirls.

Hope you like it - I had such fun making it. Don't forget to check out all the DT inspiration over at the PCJ blog and get all the other details for the challenge.

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Crafty creations challenge - That's what little girls are made of (W))

Time to celebrate

I pinned this sketch over at Sketchbook Saturday to my taskbar as soon as I saw it ! I knew I just had to create something with it - I love the balance that Iwona's sketches have they always make a great base for your papers and creativity.

I used one of my Anna Griffin clear lace stamps for the background (kraft) panel and embossed it with some white embossing powder. The striped DP is from SU and the spot is from EP Victoria gardens.
I also embossed the "celebrate" sentiment (HOTP).

Dies used are Spellbinders picot edge circle & circle dies. And also Crealies creative butterflies die.

Sorry about the terrible picture I tried to shine a bit of light onto the card without changing the colours too much - I am sooooo fed up with the rain and am very much looking forward to a bit if sunshine - must be some coming soon surely !

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

The DP's are from the basic grey life of the party paper pad and those stars are cut using my sizzix framelits. The sentiment tab is also die cut using the smallest spellbinders nestie labels 10.

My papers are from the back of the drawer ! These were actually a free MME sampler pack from a magazine and I had totally forgotten about them but I love the yummy colours and sweet little patterns.

Thanks for "swinging" by !

Hello hope your day is going well :) I have finally found some time to post this card I made using last weeks mojo sketch (of course I am too late to enter the challenge AGAIN !)

I used DP that I got from the stampin up Sale A Bration and a gorgeous rubber stamp, which is also from stampin up, and stamped it with my pear pizzazz stampin pad.
I die cut the image with my spellbinders picot edge circle die and used 2 different cuttlebug embossing folders on the centre panels. All were distressed with brown versafine for a more aged/vintage feel.

Hope you like it - I had tons of fun putting it together - while my mojo is still struggling I am having fun playing around with my craft stash and I think it struggles less with each project I complete.

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Lets ink it up - Distressing (Monthly)

Something new !

Ah I have had a lovely morning playing with my craft supplies. I got 2 cards made - one is a DT card and you will have to wait for that one !
But I was so pleased with it, especially since I have been having some trouble with my mojo, that I decided to have a bash at the gorgeous cards I have been seeing lots of lately using the negative die cut technique (not sure if that is what it's called - but it is in my head !)

I haven't cut into my MME love me paper pad so this was a great excuse and I thought the small print pattern would work really well.
I used my Nellie Snellen multi hearts dies to create the windows - all layers are popped up on foam dots to give lots of dimension and then added a banner stamped with a HOTP clear stamp. Thought I'd save this for hubby - perfect for our anniversary - so that's me sorted for July !!

Hope you like my CAS card - I am quite pleased with it :)

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Paper pretties - Use 2 or more patterned paper
7 kids college fund challenge blog - Die cuts/punches (using MME DP from the store)

Thanks for visiting me today - hope you have a great weekend x

Get out those DP's ......

This week at paper crafting journey we want to see your paper craft projects using 3 or more patterned papers.

Easy peasy !

We are sponsored by Robyns fetish today who is offering the winner 5 digi stamps/4 digi stamps & 1 digi paper set.

I used the mojo Monday sketch this week to help my wonky mojo here it is

I have made 2 cards with this gorgeous sketch - I'll post the other when I get a minute later.

For my card I used papers from the basic grey Picadilly paper line and my woodgrain embossing folder for the back ground. I tea dyed a doily as the white looked too stark and added a simple distressed circle flower.

Don't forget to checkout the new paper crafting journey challenge blog (we've moved and had a face lift !) to see all the other fab DT projects and get all the details for the challenge.

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Mojo Monday - Fab sketch
Paper pretties Wednesday - Use 2 or more DP's

Thanks for visiting me today - hope you get a little crafty today x

Fresh colour combo

It's time for a new challenge over at colour create and this week it was Sharon's turn to pick a yummy colour combo for us. She chose yellow, blue & white, here's a pic to get those creative juices flowing !

This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Bunny Zoes crafts shop

gif maker

Who is offering our winner this £10 voucher for the store - wish I could play along !
I have been suffering from a total loss of mojo recently so for inspiration I turned to my spellbinders so I apologise if I went a little over the top with die cuts on this project - I used no less than 7 diecuts and 5 dies for this card ! The peice at the bottom with the ribbon weaved through it is actually 2 spellbinders border dies linked together (thanks Mum for letting me borrow it x).

The lovely yellow gingham looks lovely in real life as it's vellum gives a real soft look to the background which just doesn't come across in the photo x

Don't forget to hop over to the colour create challenge blog to check out all the other fabulous DT inspiration and get all the details that I have forgotten to tell you about !

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges ;

Paperplay challenges - Things with wings
Crafty ribbons challenge - Things with wings
Crafting when we can - Things with wings
Desert Island crafts - Chose 3 items fro the itinerary (I chose no glitter, CAS & die cut embellies)
