Precious pink princess

Good sunday morning to ya, I hope you are well. I am feeling good - the sun is shining here and we're off to the in laws for a big sunday roast what more can a girl ask for ?!

On top of that I spent last night crafting up a storm - made loads of mess and had loads of girly fun while hubby caught himself up on all the footie - everyone's a winner !

So I was first tempted by the challenge over at scrapbook sisters - I believe this is their 1st challenge so pop on over and help them with their launch - the challenge on this occasion is to use pink and black - I couldn't resist as this colour combo always looks so flipping fab !

I chose an image I've had a while and oooed and ahhhed over loads but not actually used - thought it was just perfect - she is called little miss dress up and is available at pixie dust studio.

I knew I wanted to paper peice her as this is my most fav thing in the world at the mo and puposely chose papers that were all different so she wouldn't match perfectly. Next I coloured the rest of her with my copics then I went a bit crazy with all the stuff I added ! - flock for her feather boa (doodlebug), pearls for her necklace and a fabulous flower for her hat.

I am really pleased with the result doesn't she look just FABULOUS DAHLING !!!

Once the image was done I had a hard job finding some papers which were equally fab and finally settled on the striped paper (black tie optional - imaginisce) and the heart paper (from one of the first kits I ever bought - Dawn Bibby designs) layered up with a gorg sugary pink card stock.

The last fabulous touches was those gorg pink and black flowers (prima - I think) and a blingy gem flower for the centre with some pearl strands as my final flourish !

As well as the scrapbook sisters challenge I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges;

For Fun Challenges - Black, white and One (pink for me !)
Crafty Catz - Paper peicing
Totally Gorjuss - Flowers
One Stop Craft Challenge - Fashion thru the ages
Craft Your Days away - Girly and glitter
Bee Crafty - Fall into fashion
Stamp It Crazy - Girly girl

I do hope you like her as much as I do. Thanks so much for popping in to have a look x

Katie's recipe # 28

Happy wednesday to you - I hope you are well.

Today, being Wednesday, it is time for another recipe from Katie over at the cooking it up with Katie challenge blog and this week we want you to use 3 papers, incorporate something clear and use a song for some inspiration.

We are being sponsored by the fantastic Whimsy stamps who kindly let us choose an image and I just had to go with this super cute image of the bunny in the bath.
Now firstly I would like to tell you that the whole time I was making this card I was singing/humming/whistling the Bobby Darin song Splish splash I was taking a bath - and I still can't get that song out of my head ! Even my son has been singing it !!

Ok so here are some details of my card ;
Papers; Creative cottage birthday wishes kit available here (I have printed the dotty paper onto acetate which is also one of my clear somethings!) Glitter card from stash.
Image; Digi stamp from Whimsy stamps available here.
Coloured with; watercolour pencils, spica at you glitter pens and chalks.
Extras; stickles and glossy accents.

I paper pieced the bath with a scrap of the backing paper - I'm loving this technique at the moment.
My circles and my scalloped circle were cut using my trusty nesties and bigshot and I added somemore of the printed acetate to the "bubbles" by glueing with pva behind the spots !

I would like to enter this card into he following challenges:

Craft Your Days Away
- Girly n glitter
Sentimental Sundays - 1 solid paper (glitter), 2 patterned papers and 3 embelishments (bubbles)
Ooh La La Creations - Stripes
Incy Wincy Designs - Celebrate
Crafty Cardmakers - Glitter & Sparkle (spotlight challenge)

Thanks for looking - I hope you like it x

13th birthday cupcake

Today I'd like to share with you a card that I have made for my friends daughters 13th birthday - I think this is a difficult age and was a little stumped at first so I decided to go with a cupcake - who doesn't like cupcakes ?

My image is from Michelle perkett and can be found here. I paper peiced it with some My minds eye papers and added plenty of stickles for some bling !
I used my nesties labels to diecut the image inked up the edges with pink then added some yellow brilliance around the candle flame.

I made the flower by gathering up some lace and joining the ends to make sort of a rosette shaped flower and added a little bow to the centre and some pearl sprays underneath.
All this was layered up on more patterned paper (again My minds eye) and white card then added to a kraft base (bazzill basics) which I inked up with a little pink brilliance ink.

I hope Jade likes it and you too x

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday
- Material girl
Fab N Funky Challenges - Living in a material world
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - Happy birthday
Simon Say's Stamp Challenge - Pearls and lace
Anything Goes Challenge - Say it with flowers
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Lets get digital
The Crafty Pad - Simply pearls

Thanks for looking x

Creative cottage challenge - Celebrations

Hello to you and thanks for popping in today.

Well this week at the creative cottage challenge blog it is the uber talented Rebekah's turn to choose the challenge and she chose "celebrations" as our theme.
A great challenge as you can adapt this to most themes so I hope you'll join in with us and let us see what you are celebrating x

I have continued with my christmas cards and made a simple card with the Christmas magic kit available here. This is a great kit with beautiful papers and some gorgeous toppers and images too and as a bonus it's on special offer at the mo - just £1.50 what a bargain !

My cute ribbon came off a pair of pyjama's I recieved last christmas - I just couldn't throw it away !

Hope you like it, thanks for looking x
(Sorry for the quick post today - I'm preparing for Issac's 1st day at school tomorrow - I'll hopefully be back tomorrow with another card I'm currently working on x)
