Love - Clean and simple :)

This week over at Stampin' for the weekend we want to see your crafty creations with
Distressing
So get out those stamps and papers and start creating with us :)

When I think of a "distressed" card I imagine lots of torn or frayed edges, heavy inked edges and maybe even a steampunk style !
I wanted to show you that you can add distressing to any card style - even CAS !

Here is my CAS card

My white CS has a clear embossed pattern on it - if you click to enlarge the pic you might just see it !
I crimped the border strip before distressing with white acrylic paint along with the heart.

Don't forget to check the SFTW challenge blog for lots more fabulous inspiration from the DT and all the details of the challenge.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges;

Crafty Ann's challenge - Love actually
Moving along the times - Love is in the air
Creative belli blog - Valentines/hearts
Little red wagon - Use the word LOVE
Addicted to stamps and more - BINGO (I used Heart, Stamp & Love)

So sweet :)

Good morning today I wanted to share with you a project I made for the new challenge over at Jellypark :)
This time our challenge is
So sweet
Yep we want to see your sweet creations this time around.

I made a little treat bag with the super sweet bunny rabbit costume digi stamp and one the bunting images. Both are coloured with my prisma's and highlighted with stickles glitter glue.

I made the sentiment strip in MS word and the DP is from a super old paper pack called honey &  hugs from papermania.
These little treat sacks are another great way to use up your scraps. They are also super quick and easy to create and make a really sweet personal gift especially for the kids.

Here's another pic for you

Don't forget to hop on over to the Jellypark friends challenge blog to check out all the fabulous inspiration from the DT and also check out the fab new releases from the store.

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Sarah Hurley challenges - Anything but a card
Craft us crazy - Use your cutting machine (big shot) and fav' technique (colouring)
Shopping our stash challenge - Use your oldest bling

Thanks so much for visiting me today x

Posies and polka dots :)

Hello again - Happy Wednesday !
Yep you made it half way through the week ! Just a couple more days until the weekend :)

I know that I have been a blogging fiend this week - so sorry to my followers who will most likely be sick of me by now ! But my mojo is rockin' at the moment ! I am finding myself fired up for crafting again after a period where I really lacked enthusiasm for it.

This time I was inspired by the fabulous inspiration card by Laurie Willison over at Muse and used her super layout to create my card.

 I was also fired up by the current challenge over at the catered crop recipe swap (one of my most fav' places to visit for a mojo shake up) This week the lovely Linda wants to see polka dots on our creations.

I instantly knew I wanted to use black and white polka dots but I didn't have any DP with them so I took some black CS, some dies and my eyelet punches and made some myself !!

I then mirrored the polka dots by adding a circle for my sentiment and also with my felt rolled roses, rhinestones and even the little black button on my butterfly. I hand cut the leaves from felt and added a little bit of simple back stitching for an extra touch.

This really was a fun card to create - I have always enjoyed making handmade flowers and I love how the die cut "polka dots" turned out :)

I would also like to add my card to the following challenges;

Craft room challenges - Handmade embellishments (Flowers & leaves)
City crafter challenge - Just for you my friend
Crazy 4 challenges - Show friendliness

Thanks so much for visiting me today x

Love cut

Hello again I am back tonight to show you a valentines card I made using the sketch over at
CAS(E) this sketch here is the fab sketch
I love this super sketch for it's amazing simplicity especially highlighted with the striking red/black colour combo I used here.

The hearts were cut using my Nellie Snellen heart multi frame die and I added some clear gems for a bit of bling :)

Simple but stunning - I hope !

I would also like to add this card to the following challenges;

CAS on Sunday - Be mine valentine
Top tip Tuesday - Let me call you sweetheart
{PIN}spirational challenge - Fab photo inspiration this week :)

Love .....

Hello I wanted to hop on this morning and show you a card that I made last night.

I was inspired by the current deconstructed sketch especially this beauty created by the uber talented Sheri Gilson.

Here's the sketch.

I used paper scraps from MME Love me paper pad for my pennants and a doily cut with my cheery Lynn English tea party doily die.
The satin ribbon, embroidery floss and button are from my stash.

I would also like to add this card to the following challenges;

The ribbon girls - Love or valentines
My time to craft - Love is in the air
Creative corner challenge - Love & hearts

Thanks so much for visiting me today - I love it when you stop by x

Just for the fun of it :)

I had a girlie gathering yesterday afternoon - it was bliss :) The boys went out to watch football and my friends arrived bearing gifts of pink wine and flavoured vodka and we had an afternoon of laughter, a few tears and lots of love. I love my friends so much and it was lovely to get us all together and catch up. I hope you have had some fun this weekend too :)

On Friday night hubby went out and I had a night all to myself. I haven't crafted for the sake of it for such a long time so I got out my craft stash, turned the music channel on and spent the night playing !

I started by making these little decorated jars for the dining table
I wrapped some burlap around the jars then tied a picot edge circle on with some twine. The butterflies were die cut with my Crealies die. I ran them through the paper crimper and added a button which I coloured with my pro-marker to match.

Here they are filled with tulips

I liked these so much I made a card using the same design
The DP is from the American crafts neopolitan 12x12 paper pad. I left it blank so I can stamp a sentiment inside when I need it. This way I can use it for any occasion :)

I hope you like the results of my crafty evening - I had a lot of fun just playing for fun :)

I would like to add my creations to the following challenges;

Crafts & me - Use your fav' embellishment (mine are def' butterflies)
Crafty creations challenges - Anything but a card
Flutterby Wednesdays - Anything goes with a butterfly
Simon says stamp  - Anything goes
Sarah Hurley challenge - Anything but a card
Fussy and fancy challenge - Circles

Thanks so much for visiting me today - I love it  when you stop by :)

That's the ticket :)

Good morning I hope that you are well x I know it is only just February but I am feeling like spring is {just a little} in the air :)
I noticed a miniature iris on flower in the garden today - a bright yellow ray of sunshine which brightened my day. I spent some time with Aidan, my youngest son, planting some primroses in the pots in front of our house - I hope they help to brighten someone else's day tomorrow :)

Anyway back to the reason for my post today - the brand spanking new challenge over at Stampin' for the weekend, which this fortnight is to use metal on your projects.

Our fabulous new sponsor for this challenge is Saturated canary who also very kindly provided the entire DT with their super cute and sassy images to use on our projects.
You can check out all of the great SC images at their store here.

I used "Parade" and coloured it with my prisma pencils before adding stickles glitter glue and using chalk to create a cloud background. My photo just doesn't pick up the background - sorry about that.

My DP's and ticket strip are from the Missing U digi kit from Kim Broedelet and the doily was cut with my cheery lynn English tea party doily die.
The crystal brads and chiffon ribbon are from my craft cupboard.

Don't forget to hop on over to the SFTW challenge blog and see all the beautiful inspiration projects from the DT and get all the details I have forgotten to tell you about !!

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Crafty ribbons challenge - Anything goes with ribbon
Creative belli blog - Rhinestones
Perfect sentiment challenge - Anything goes with a die cut
Color throwdown - fabulous colour combo - thanks x
Inky impressions challenge - BINGO (pink/sentiment/die cut)
