Get in shape !

This weeks challenge over at my mums craft shop challenges is shaped cards.

I can't wait to see what gorgeous creations you come up with for this challenge. The DT have made some gorgeous samples so don't forget to hop on over to the challenge blog and check them all out.

I used papers from the MME Miss Caroline howdy doody paper pad which I just cannot put down at the moment it is so very pretty.
The flowers (unity) are stamped onto the DP and cut out, glittered then layered up. The leaves are die cut with my new little leaves sizzlits die from stampin' up. These are all layered up with a heart doily some seam binding and a button & gem stone combo.

Here is another closer shot

I have left the bottom half of my easel card fairly plain (apart from the pearl stoppers) as there is so much happening up the top ! It also gives me room to stamp a personal greeting as I have made this card with someone special in mind (shhhh don't tell !)

I would like to add this card to the following challenges;

Just us girls challenges - 3D challenge using ribbons, flowers & buttons (S)
Truly, madly, crafty challenges - Ribbon & bling (Monthly)
Crafty sentiments challenge - Shaped not square
Flourishes timeless Tuesday - Country living (this paper has a real country feel as do my flowers) (T)
Diva's by design - Spots and/or stripes
Crafting for all seasons challenge blog - Shaped cards
The house that stamps built - Spring with pastel colours (Repeat Impressions DCC229 Designer’s Choice Challenge)

Thanks for visiting today - I hope you are all well and feeling crafty today x

Bottoms up !

Over at Jellypark today not only do we have a new challenge (hop over to the challenge blog for more details) but the DT is also showcasing 2 brand new releases from Claire our fearless leader !
This super image is one of them !

Isn't she fab ? I just know that I am going to get lots of use out of this one as my friends and I are quite partial to a few glasses of vino ourselves!

I have paper peiced her dress with paper from the Picadilly line 6x6 pad from basic grey and coloured her with promarkers and spica glitter pens.
I used core-dinations cardstock to make my base card and distressed it to reveal the core colour inside.
I think the DP used on the base is a super old peice from K & Co but I really can't be too sure (sorry !)

I have added a line of gems along the MS doily punched border stop which, I was disapointed to see, don't really show up that well in the pic. In real life they look great adding some glitz and glam to the card.

Oh and that gorgous ribbon came off a pair of PJ's that were a Christmas gift ! I have added a button and a couple of blinged up pins to the bow too.

Don't forget to hop on over to the Jellypark friends and check out the new releases and the challenge too x

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Bunny Zoes crafts - Celebrations (Monthly)
Craft your passion - Red, white & blue (M)
Craft your days away - Paper peicing (S BI)
CES Challenges - Spots & dots (S)
Crazy 4 challenges - Stripes (ribbon) & spots (paper)
Sweet stampin' challenge blog - Choose 3 in a row (Ribbon, buttons & spots) (F)

Bingo bango !

The new challenge over at Stampin' up for the weekend is BINGO ! sponsored by In 2 stamps

Choose a line vertical, horizontal or diagonal it's your choice and make your card !

I love bingo challenges ! There are so many possibilities :)

For my card I chose the bottom line which is pink, butterflies and die cuts - Mmmmm yummy combination !

I went for another CAS style card. With a yummy colour combo of pink and brown.

Once again this card features that picot edge circle (spellbinders) which I am so fond of at the moment and of course my butterflies (crealies creatives).

I have embossed my background with my cuttlebug Swiss dots folder and stamped the smaller background panel with my Prima fence background stamp.
The sentiment is a clear stamp from sizzix and that gorgeous bling swirl is of course Zva.

I do hope you'll hop over to the Stampin' for the weekend challenge blog and check out all the other gorgeous DT projects and get all the details for the challenge then you can get stampin' for the weekend (or during the week it's your choice !)

Buttons & bows

This week at My Mums craft shop challenge the new challenge is buttons & bows.
sponsored by the great Sew sweet (mmm love their felt !)

For my card I have used an image from pollycraft which I coloured with my promarkers and triplus fine-liners. I shadow cut it and layered it onto more of the base card & DP which I die cut it with my spellbinders labels 10.

My pretty DP's are from my beautiful MME Vanity fair paper pad. I also added more butterflies cut with my crealies die and added dew drops for a little sparkle.

This pretty ribbon was wrapped around one of my birthday pressies - almost like a present before opening the present for me !

I hope you will hop over and check out all the other gorgeous DT projects and get all the details of the challenge over at My Mum's craft shop challenges - I can't wait to see what you'll create this week ;)

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Spring is nearly springing - I can't wait !

I went on a bit of a spending spree last week with my birthday money and while I am still waiting for some crafting goodies to arrive I did receive a super fast delivery from My mums craft shop and just couldn't resist getting stuck straight in !

I had pinned this gorgeous sketch from CLP to my desktop and knew these papers from MME and the pretty lace would be perfect !

The gorgeous stamp is from Lili of the valley - a birthday gift from my Mum & Dad - I do so love bunnies - I dragged one everywhere when I was little (don't tell anyone but I still have him now although he tends to stay at home - he's in retirement !)

I used my new limited edition spring colour pro-markers from Joanna Sheen to colour the image and added spica glitter pens and triplus fine liners to add highlights although I don't think they show in the picture. And used chalk and die cut clouds to create the soft sky.

I distressed all the papers first with my distressing tool then distressed with a pink paint dabber then I used my finger to drag glossy accents around the edges and added glitter so they would look distressed but still pretty not grungy !

The pennants were die cut (from the DP scraps) with another new addition - these are going to get lots and lots of use aren't they cute ?

I also added a "baby" sentiment and a chiffon ribbon bow with a little flower and super sweet tiny button.
I had such fun making this and walked up to get Issac from school absolutely covered in glitter !! And although there are quite alot of elements they came together quickly and that is due to the fabulous sketch - So thanks CLP :)

I would also like to add this card to the following challenges;

CLP Challenge blog - Amazing sketch - thanks x (Monthly)
Bunny Zoes - Celebrations (Monthly 2nd M)
Paper pretties - Spring (M)
Pollycraft Monday - Ribbons & buttons (M)
Lets ink it up - Ribbons and lace
Make it colourful - Spring colours
Just us girls - Colours (pink, green, yellow & teal)
Truly scrumptious - All creatures great & small

Thanks for visiting me today - I hope you are feeling a little spring like wherever you are today xx

Butterfly wings

Hello again - yes it's 2 post's from me today ! I'm a bit late with this one - with the children off school & nursery they have been keeping me pretty busy !

But Aidan is chilling out watching Dora (he's been running around the garden most of the day and has just crashed on the sofa !) and Issac has gone to the cinema with hubby to watch the new 3D Star wars movie so I can finally get my post done !

It is time for a brand new challenge over at Paper crafting journey and this week our fearless leader Lisa set the challenge for us all to make something cute !
The DT were lucky enough to be treated to some super cute images form our sponsor this week Pink Cat Stamps

The stamp I used is called Lily butterfly and you can find her here at the store isn't she just perfect for this challenge - they don't come much cuter than this !
She is coloured with my trusty promarkers and highlighted with triplus fineliners and, of course, glamour dust !

The gorgeous layout comes from a sketch over at deconstucted which I am too late to enter - wow I do this all the time !! It's a shame too because I love how it turned out.

The DP's (there are 4 diffrent patterns on there !) are from the paper pad. I distressed them all with my Tim Holtz distressing tool and added more glamour dust around the edges. The yummy die cut was cut using my picot edge circles form spellbinders - I love love love it !
All other bits and peices were found in my craft cupboard.

I hope you'll join in and play along with us at paper crafting journey this week - hope over to the challenge blog to check out all the details and see the other fabulous DT projects x

Lovely lilac

Hello and happy Thursday ! It is once again time for another yummy colour combo over at colour create challenge blog.

This week Sabrina chose the yummy colour combo of lilac, blue, kraft and white/cream. Here is a little photo inspiration
I have gone for a simple card this time around using some scraps from the ever bulging scraps drawer. Yes although I have been using mostly scraps since after Christmas it has not, as yet, had an impact on the volume of it ! I am pretty sure I could use scraps all year and still not clear it !
These scraps are digi papers from pink petticoat. I have edged the papers and the base card with glamour dust - I love how this glitter just lifts everything - making it twinkle :)

I added a Zva pearl swirl (well a bit chopped off one !) then some lace and slim satin ribbon.

Sabrina's optional extra this week is to add a handmade paper charm this is a new technique for me and I will def be trying it more in the future - thanks Sabrina x
For my "charm" I used a punch to make a small heart covered it with glossy accents and covered with more glamour dust when it was dry I added a sequin front & back and added to my card with embroidery silk and a button.

I hope you will hop across to the colour create challenge blog to check out all the other DT projects and get all the details of the challenge the join in and play along with us x

I would like to add my card to the following challenges;

Digital Tuesday challenge - Use your stash (scrap paper & ribbon)
Oldie but a goodie - Lace (I think everything on this card is over 6 months old apart from the pearl swirl)
Love to create challenge - Buttons & bows

Thanks for visiting me today I hope you get some crafty time today x

Love Heart

Hello again - sorry for the delay in posting my Jellypark friends challenge card but I have had the busiest week - there just hasn't seemed enough hours in the day and days in the week !

I am glad that it is Friday evening now and I can breath a more relaxed sigh and chill out for the weekend !
The kids are off school next week so I am looking forward to spending some time with them although I am not looking forward to shopping for new school shoes :(

Anyway as I said today is new challenge time at Jellypark friends Friday challenge and this week our challenge is "shades of love" and we want you to use reds, pinks and/or purples on your projects.

I have used the super cute girl & heart stamp available at the jellypark store here. She is coloured with my promarkers and highlighted with spica glitter pens and triplus fine liners.
The gorgeous DP is from the Echo park summer days paper pad and the fabulous pleated ribbon is from websters pages. The sweet printed love doily is a freebie from Eat drink chic and the swirl is part of a zva gem flourish which I chopped up !
I used my craft knife to cut around the bottom edges of some of the bunting and popped it up with little foam pads - I thought it gave the card a bit more dimension. It is so very rare that I only use one DP but because this one is so very busy it really didn't need anything else x

I hope you will pop over to the challenge blog and check out all the fantastic cards and projects that the rest of the DT created and also have a look at the new release images. Claire (the creative genius behing jellypark :) has also created some brand new stamps for charity - they are amazing - and I will be featuring some of them just as soon as I get time to get them coloured up !
Check them out here at the store here and help to support little havens x

1, 2, 3, wheeeeeeeeeeeeee !!

It is time for another challenge over at paper crafting journey and this time our theme is Fairy's.

We have the perfect sponsor for this challenge as we are sponsored by Emerald fairies and they are offering the winner of this challenge 2 of their lovely digi stamps.

If you haven't tried an emerald fairy image yet let me assure you that you will not be disappointed - they are an absolute dream to colour and such fun images.

I have used the gorgeous "Isla" available here. Look how much fun she is having ! I coloured her with my pro-markers and highlighted the image with my Staedtler triplus fine liner pens.
I added some glamour dust to her wings and the dandelion she is clinging to and die cut the image with my oval nesties cutting the dandelion by hand before slipping it into the die.

I have used the sketch over at Sketches by Carly as my base and gorgeous papers from the basic grey Picadilly paper pad before adding 2 different types of lace (the green one had velvet in the middle, it's lush !) and a bundle of flowers brushed with some mica powder for a little extra sparkle & shine.
My sentiment (clearly handstamped from crafters companion) is stamped on a short length of twill and I added a button & twine bow as an "anchor".

I had so much fun creating this card - I hope you will join in and play along with us this fortnight at paper crafting journey - don't forget to check out the rest of the fabulous DT creations and all the details of the challenge over at the PCJ blog here.
